Kumpukwe retires after 39 yrs of service

NICO General Insurance on Wednesday 19 December, 2012 hosted a cocktail reception in Blatlyre to bid farewell to one of its longest serving members of staff, Ellis Kurnpukwe, who has finally retired after working at the company for 39 years.
Kumpukwe joined NICO on May 28, 1973 as an assistant superintendent and rose through the ranks to become Credit Controller at Assistant Manager level at the time of retirement. Kumpukvve initially retired in 2008 but the company maintained his services on contract basis until this year.
"We now have to let you go," said NICO General Insurance Chief Executive Officer, Eric Chapola, who hailed Kumpukwe for the service he has rendered to the company and for imparting knowledge and skills to younger members of staff.
On his part, Kumpukwe thanked NICO for letting him work for another 4 years following his retirement after 35 years of service in 2008.
